From 18–20 February 2026, Maison Mirwad presented its collections at International Maisons of Fine Fragrance in London, a curated gathering of independent luxury fragrance houses, niche perfumers, buyers and global industry leaders
Held at Frieze Gallery, the event positioned Maison Mirwad among emerging and established names shaping the future of niche perfume in London.
A Qatari Perfume House on a Global Stage
Maison Mirwad is a luxury fragrance house founded by Mashael Al Kuwari, the only perfumer in Qatar.
A former Head of Protocol and Events at Qatar Foundation, Mashael discovered her passion for perfumery during a visit to Sephora in Paris. She later studied fragrance creation in Grasse, the historic heart of French perfumery.
After surviving cancer, and encouraged by a close friend, she began formulating scents privately — at a time when women entering retail in her environment faced strong resistance. Her persistence led to acceptance into the Qatar Cubic Incubation Centre, where she was the only candidate selected from her cohort. Her first kiosk sold out within a single day, marking the beginning of Mirwad’s rise.
Today, she is recognised for her entrepreneurial courage and for establishing a contemporary Qatari fragrance house with international vision.

Creative Collaboration
Maison Mirwad’s Signature Collection is developed in collaboration with Philippe Paparella-Paris, an award-winning Senior Perfumer with over 20 years of international experience. Recipient of the International François Coty Prize, Paparella-Paris is known for his refined, generous compositions and work with prestigious global fragrance houses.
This collaboration bridges Arabian fragrance heritage with French perfumery discipline — a dialogue increasingly resonating within the London niche perfume community.
