In 2010 I was walking past Sephora in Paris when I saw a promotion for perfume training in Grasse. Something clicked. Scent had always been part of my life, and in that moment I knew I wanted to understand it completely.
Grasse gave me the tools, the insight and the education in the art of perfumery. I was like a sponge, absorbing the precision and heritage of European haute parfumerie, while staying deeply connected to the rituals and traditions of my own culture.
That is the duality you will find in every Maison Mirwad fragrance: Middle Eastern traditions and European sensibility. I still use what I learnt there every day. It gave me the confidence to experiment, and the belief that every perfumer needs their own DNA.
