Maison Mirwad has officially launched in London, United Kingdom, marking a defining milestone in the House’s international journey. The launch introduces a contemporary Qatari fragrance house to the heart of the UK fragrance market and the growing world of niche perfume in London.

London—long recognised as a global destination for fine fragrance—offers a natural stage for a House rooted in Arabian olfactory heritage and refined through French perfumery discipline.

A Fragrance House Founded by Vision

Maison Mirwad was founded by Mashael Al Kuwari, the only perfumer in Qatar.

Formerly Head of Protocol and Events at the Qatar Foundation office, Mashael discovered her passion for perfumery during a chance visit to Sephora in Paris, later studying the craft in Grasse, the historic heart of French perfumery.

After surviving cancer and encouraged by a close friend, she began creating fragrances in secret—overcoming strong cultural resistance to women entering retail. Her determination earned her a place in the Qatar Cubic Incubation Centre, where she was the only candidate approved from her group. Her first kiosk sold out within a day, marking Mirwad’s explosive rise.

Today, Mashael is celebrated for her bold entrepreneurial spirit, her barrier-breaking journey, and her vision in establishing Mirwad.

Bridging Doha and London

The London launch represents more than geographic expansion. It reflects a dialogue between Arabian fragrance heritage, French perfumery craftsmanship, and contemporary UK luxury retail.

Maison Mirwad’s collections are developed in collaboration with Philippe Paparella-Paris, an award-winning Senior Perfumer with over 20 years of international experience and recipient of the International François Coty Prize. Known for his refined, generous style and four-handed creations, he has developed fragrances for prestigious global houses.

Together, the collaboration bridges East and West—resonating strongly within the London niche perfume community.
